The Cultural Collective is comprised of artists, musicians, photographers, audio technicians, and other cultural workers from around the South Huron area. The CC is focused on providing creative opportunities for its members and unique experiences for the public.

A guiding principle of The Cultural Collective is the idea of the "third place," a concept outlined by Ray Oldenberg in his 1989 book The Great Good Place. According to Oldenberg, people need a third place outside of their home and work to "anchor" them within community life and to facilitate and foster broader, more creative interaction. Through our inclusive events and rich volunteer and social opportunities, the CC strives to be South Huron’s Third Place.

Ausable Camera Club

The Ausable Camera Club is open to anyone with an interest in photography. Whether you use a Nikon, Sony, Fujifilm, or anything in between, a supportive and creative community is waiting for you in the Ausable Camera Club.

The ACC meets once a month and features guest speakers, photo walks, and Q&A sessions to inspire you.

Bring Your Own Vinyl Night

Brush off the static and drop the needle on new and old favourites at BYOV! You might discover your new favourite artist, or share something that’s never been heard in the halls of the Cultural Collective Studio.

It’s a chill opportunity to bond with your fellow audiophiles, bring your favourite album, and leave with a new tune stuck in your head.

Warhammer Night

Bond with your fellow army enthusiasts, bring your armies, and battle to the death!

If you’re looking for something a bit more low-key, hit up the painting area and check out your competition, or just come for the vibes.

Open Mic Nite

A place for artists of different disciplines, from comedy to music to poetry, to get up, challenge their stage fright, and perform for a supportive audience. A great place to try new material, refine a great cover, practice showmanship, and generally have fun with other like-minded artists.

Trivia Nights

A few times a year, we give you the chance to cut your teeth and prove your smarts with our famed trivia nights!

Due to the popularity of these events, we often collaborate with other local service clubs to bring you bigger and better nights of brain busting fun.

Nerd Nite

Join The Cultural Collective as we unfold the table, set up the board, and check for missing pieces at Nerd Nite.

Anyone and everyone is invited to pull up a chair and choose from our large in-house game collection or bring your favourites from home to share!
